On August 19, 2018, His Beatitude, Patriarch Teodor II, visited His Eminence Macarie, Archbishop of Nairobi, PS Aktona, Bishop of Kisumu and PS Neofit, Bishop of Nyeri and Mount Kenya, Parish of Saint Eleftheria, of Rironi.

On this occasion, the four hierarchs jointly performed the Service of the Divine Liturgy, attended at the invitation of His Beatitude, besides the faithful of the Saint Eleftherian Parish, and over 160 children, mostly orphans, living in the Orthodox Missionary Center and St. Irina Orphanage in Dagoretti, South Kinangop, Kenya, in charge of Father Constantin Eliud Muthiru, the director of the institute (children who can be helped by an account opened here: www.stireneorthodoxmission.org). His Beatitude congratulated Father Constantin for his efforts in caring for and educating the children, expressing his disapproval of the fact that he was unable to visit the missionary center, which is more than 100 kilometers away from the Church of Saint Eleftheria.

After the Mass of the Holy Mass of the Archdiocese, there was a table attended by all those present at the holy service and a musical and dance show, supported by the children of the Orthodox Missionary Center and the Saint Irina Orphanage, who wished to honor the moment of the visit and, to show the present hierarchs traditional Kikuyu music.

“Finally, His Beatitude Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa, made a special prayer, holding rod Bishop turned to the sky, asking the Holy Spirit to guard the faithful. Then he retired in a secret.
