Healthcare Program
We believe that good health enables people and communities to define their own future. Without good health, a child cannot meet their full potential, and communities miss out on a chance to grow and contribute to their collective well being.
Access to quality healthcare is not a privilege, it is a human right and we work towards making that a reality for everyone, especially the poorest. Our mission is to serve kids so that they can build healthier and happier futures. We do this through the provision of sustainable medical relief and health based development programmes at the Mission Center.
Why support us?
Transparent, local and long term
We believe everyone has the basic human right to good healthcare. Our work would not be possible without donors and committed supporters like you. We aim to share with you regularly where funds have been spent.
We realise that sustainability comes by being committed to local communities for the long term. Our cultural approach allows us to understand how things get done locally. We avoid all forms of corruption and ensure donor funds are spent transparently, wisely and with a high level of scrutiny.
The program
Nutrition
Many children suffer from poor nutrition in the society. The effects are many fold leaving children more vulnerable to disease but also adversely affecting their education, both of which locks these children in a poverty cycle which becomes harder to escape. Your support provides additional daily nutrition for 352 children at St Irene Orthodox Mission Centre and Orphanage.
